What is it?

Allantoin is a ureide and is thefinal product of uric acid oxidation: it is found in the leaves of Symphytum officinale, the bark of Aesculus hippocastanum, the leaves of Coffea arabica, and in soybean seeds, Glycine max. In cosmetic products, it is already effective at a concentration of 0.5%.
