Makeup remover
We trust that by now you know that you should NEVER go to bed with makeup on! But what makeup remover should you use?
There are many different types, and they can be enriched with active ingredients that have purifying properties, suitable for oily skin, or moisturizing and soothing for dry skin.
Types of makeup removers
Facial makeup removers include:
• Micellar water: water-based, it gently removes makeup residue from the face, eyes and lips.
• Cleansing milk: It is a creamy fluid that respects the skin's protective barrier, thanks to soothing and emollient ingredients.
• Two-phase formulas: primarily suitable for waterproof makeup
• Makeup remover oils, gels and butters: suitable for drier, more sensitive skin
Useful tips
If you wear makeup, the best thing you can do is remove it with your preferred makeup remover product, and then cleanse. Many cosmetic companies formulate cleansers that also work as makeup removers: check the label and choose these formulations only when you have little time for your skincare routine.
Check the label for another reason too: the product must be safe for use around the eye contour, so it must be ophthalmologically tested. In this area, always remember not to rub but massage gently!
And the makeup remover wipes?
Even though they are very convenient, our advice is to avoid using makeup remover wipes unless you have no other alternatives. They cause irritation, redness, damage the skin barrier, and always leave behind makeup residue.
