Facial mask
The facial mask is the intensive treatment your Skin needs: it is applied to the Skin and left to sit for a certain period of time before being rinsed off or removed. Facial masks are typically used to target specific concerns such as dryness, dullness, acne, or aging.
What's this for?
Many face masks contain ingredients like clay, charcoal, or AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids), which can help absorb excess sebum, minimize pores, and exfoliate dead Skin cells.
Others help deliver hydration and nourishment and are formulated with ingredients like glycerin, hyaluronic acid, or aloe vera. They may contain active ingredients like vitamin C or retinol, which stimulate collagen production.
Which one should I choose?
You can choose from different types of masks: rinse-off, fabric, peel-off and overnight.
Each type of mask has a range of benefits and is best suited to specific Skin types and needs. For example, fabric masks are convenient, easy to use, and excellent for providing a hydration boost to the Skin. Peel-off masks are excellent for exfoliating and brightening the Skin, while overnight masks are perfect for providing deep hydration and nourishment while you sleep.
How to apply it
Before using a face mask, cleanse your face and remove all traces of makeup. Apply the mask following the instructions on the packaging, and leave it on for the recommended time. Remove or rinse off the mask with warm water and pat your Skin dry with a clean towel. Follow up with a toner and moisturizer to seal in the treatment’s benefits.
Most face masks can be used once or twice a week: make it your weekly pampering treat for you and your Skin.
